Age Limit :
Candidate's age limit should be minimum 18 years and maximum 32 years. The age limit criteria is different for each post and therefore applicant must read the official notification carefully before applying for a particular post in the above recruitment.
Age relaxation criteria is allowed upto +3 years for OBC candidates and upto +5 years for SC/ST candidates. Those who came under PH category, the relaxation is upto +10 years.

Education Qualification : [As on 1st August 2017]
Candidates must possess Graduation degree in any discipline from government recognized university/institution or college.
Note : The candidates appearing in the final year of their graduation can also apply, however they must possess Essential qualification on or before 1st August 2017.
(1) For the Post of Assistant Audit Officer :
Essential Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree from a recognized University or Institute.
Desirable Qualifications for the Post of Assistant Audit Officer (AAO): Chartered Accountant or cost & Management Accountant or Company Secretary or Masters in Commerce or Masters in Business Economics.
(2) Stastical Investigator Grade - II : Bachelor’s Degree in any subject from a recognized University or Institute and at least 60% in Mathematics at 12th standard. OR Bachelor’s Degree in any subject with Statistics as one of the subjects at degree level.
(3) Compiler : Bachelor’s Degree from any recognized University with Economics or Statistics or Mathematics as compulsory or Elective subject.
Scheme of the Examination :
The Examination will be conducted in four tiers as indicated below:
Tier -I -- Computer Based Examination ( Qualifying Nature )
Tier -II -- Computer Based Examination
Tier -III -- Pen and Paper Mode (Descriptive paper)
Tier-IV -- Computer Proficiency Test/ Skill Test (wherever applicable)/ Document Verification
Examination Pattern :
The examination for the SSC CGL will be conducted in online mode. Candidates have to qualify the Tier-I exam to get eligible for the Tier-II exam. The Tier-I CBT exam consist of four sections and time allotted for the examination is 60 minutes.
Those who selected for Tier-II examination will also be eligible for Tier-III and Tier IV examination. Tier 4 is of qualifying nature and mandatory for CSS/MEA/ Tax Assistant posts. Final merit list will be made on basis of cumulative marks of Tier 1, Tier 2 and Tier 3.
Skill Test (TIER IV) - Data Entry Speed Test (DEST) at 8,000 (eight thousand) Key Depression per hour on Computer. The “Data Entry Speed” Skill Test at 2000 (two thousand) key depressions for a duration of 15 (fifteen) minutes will be of qualifying nature.
Application fee : Candidates have to an amount of Rs. 100 for the online submission of Application. The application will only be accepted in online mode.
All Women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Physically Handicapped, and Ex-Servicemen eligible for reservation are exempted from paying application fee.
