Q. 1 Read the following data based on floor arrangement and Give the answers accordingly :

Nine persons Patel, Abhishek, Mahendra, Umesh, Ajay, Subodh, Virat, Suresh and Ravindra live in a building but not necessarily in the same order. There are nine floors in that building and only one person lives on each floor. Each of them works for a different political party, viz DMK, BSP, Congress, AAP, JDU, RJD, BJP, TMC and SP but not necessarily in the same order.

The ground floor is numbered 1 and the floor above it is numbered 2 and so on. The top-most floor is numbered 9. There are two floors between the floors on which Abhishek and Suresh live respectively. Abhishek does not work for AAP. Umesh works for SP. There are two floors between the floor on which Suresh lives and the one on which the worker of BJP lives. Mahendra lives on an even-numbered floor and above the floor on which Suresh lives. Ajay lives immediately above the floor on which Subodh lives.

Patel is the worker of JD(U) and lives on floor number 5. There is one floor between the floor on which the workers of BSP and J D(U) respectively live. The worker of DMK lives below the floor on which the worker of BSP lives. The’worker of RJD lives on an even-numbered floor. The worker of DMK does not live on the lowermost floor. Abhishek lives on floor number 3 . The worker of AAP lives immediately above the floor on which the worker of RJD lives. The worker of AAP does not live on floor number 9. Ravindra lives immediately above the floor on which the worker of Congress lives.

 

Q. 2 Read the following data based on floor arrangement and Give the answers accordingly :

Mendis, Taylor, John, Franklin Peter, David and Watson are seven people living on seven different floors of a building but not necessarily in the same order The lowermost floor is numbered 1 and the topmost floor is numbered 7. Each of them has a different Income, viz $1500, $5200, $7200, $6000 $8500, $6500 and $4500. But not necessarily in the same order.

Watson lives on an even-numbered floor but not on the floor numbered fourth. Only two floors are there between Watson and Franklin. The one who has income of $11500 lives immediately below the floor on which John lives. Only one floor is there between the floors on which Mend is and David live. Taylor lives immediately below the floor on which Mendis lives.

The one who has income of $4500 lives on an even. numbered floor. Only three floors are there between John and the one who has income of $6000. Neither Weston nor Peter has income of $7200. The one who has income of $6500 lives immediately above the floor on which the one who has income of $7200 lives. John does not have income of $5200. The one who has income of $6000 lives immediately above the floor on which Watson lives.
