Hello Aspirants, today IBPS has published the notification for the recruitment of Specialist officer in various public sector bank. This recruitment is only for those candidates who has completed their graduation in the field of B.E/B.Tech/M.B.A /M.C.A and wants to make their career as professional officer in banking industry.
The working culture of Specialist officer is also same as the Probationary officer and Clerks present in any public sector bank. The IBPS SO exam will be conducted in January and final allotment will be done in April 2017.
About IBPS SO Exam 2016 :
This is the sixth time that IBPS has conducted exam recruitment for the Specialist officer therefore this exam is also called as IBPS CWE SO-VI. The exam pattern is also similar to the question paper of PO and Clerk. Candidates who will selected as the Specialist officer will get posted in any of the 20 participating public sector banks.
Important Dates and Events for IBPS SO 2016:
Online registration and form filling will be started from – November 16 – December 2. 2016
Online Single Examination will be held on – 28th and 29th January 2017
Interview will be held in the Month of – March 2017
Final Allotment list will get published on 1st April 2017
Post and Vacancies in IBPS SO-VI :
This year IBPS will be recruiting a total of 4122 Specialist officers in different departments for the vacancies available in the 20 Public sector Banks all across the country. The vacancies in different department under specialist officer are given below :
I.T officer (Scale- I) – 335 vacancies
Agricultural Field Officer (Scale -I) – 2580 vacancies
Rajbhasa Adhikari (Scale – I) – 65 Post
Law Officer (Scale – I) – 115 vacancies
HR/Personnel Officer (Scale – I) – 81 Post
Marketing Officer (Scale -I) – 946 Post.
Eligibility Criteria for Specialist officer :
The eligibility criteria for IBPS SPL VI is given below. Candidates must check their eligibility and read the entire notification carefully to avoid any kind of mistakes wile filling up the form.
Age limit – Applicant age limit must be between 21-30 years as on 01/11/2016. Their is an age relaxation of 3 years for OBC candidates and 5 years of age relaxation for SC/St Candidates. For PWD applicants 10 years of age relaxation is there.
Candidates who wants to apply for the above recruitment must complete their registration before December 2. 2016.

Selection Procedure and Exam pattern :
IBPS will be conducting Single online examination for the specialist officer. Their is No prelims examination in IBPS SO. The Test will be conducted in Online mode and Candidates has to clear the written examination to qualify for the Interview Phase.

Exam pattern of IBPS SO-VI : 2016
The Exam Pattern for IBPS SO is slightly different from IBPS PO and Clerk. The Question paper consists of four sections of Reasoning, Quantitative aptitude, General Awareness and Professional Knowledge.
In above given sections – Reasoning, Maths and GA is of qualifying nature which means their marks will not be included in merit listing. Only Marks of Professional Knowledge will be taken for Final Selection.
Candidates who will qualify the Online examination will be called for Interview and Document verification.
How to Apply and Register :
Candidates can apply for the specialist officer from the link given on IBPS website. The application fee for General Candidates is Rs. 600 and for SC/ST candidates the application fee is Rs. 100 which can be paid through net banking/debit card/credit card. The Application fee must be paid only via Online Mode.
Candidates have to register for the exam by filling up the application form and after submitting the form you will get an e-receipt that you must kept it with yourself for future reference.
Also take the Application print out and note down the registration number and password.
